Dell has updated its Vostro series with three new laptop PCs, the Vostro 1320 with 13.3 inch display, the Vostro 1520 with 15.4-inch display and the Vostro 1720 with a 17-inch display. The new Vostro series is designed for small and medium business segments. Though neither of the products belongs to any leading laptop or computer manufacturing brands, but still they are considered to be of standard quality in their respective grade. Such models are found in U.S.

The Trigem AVN0270NB netbook has a bigger screen size of 10-inches while the Kohjinsha ML6L16A netbook possess a screen size of 8.9-inches. The Trigem model has an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD and an Intel 945 GMS chipset. Also it has WiFi and a battery life of 5 hours. Lenovo has finally announced its business minded budget notebook called ThinkPad X100e. The device is powered by an AMD Neo processor.

The ThinkPad X100e has an 11.6 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels. The notebook is available with all the three processors in the AMD Neo line. Lenovo, however, has no intention to offer the laptop with an Intel processor.

The X100e supports a variety of connectivity options including Wi-Fi, 3G and WiMAX wireless. Bluetooth is also offered as an optional feature. There are 3 USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and VGA. There is no HDMI. The touchpad supports multi-touch gestures. There is also a touchpoint pointing stick. Lenovo offers Windows 7 Pro/Home Premium or Windows XP Pro with the notebook. The base version starts at $449.

AMD processors are known for delivering high performance, but they aren’t necessarily energy efficient.
