The Mobinnova elan is known for being one of the first laptops based on Nvidia’s Tegra platform. We have been hearing about this device for some time, but now more details have emerged. The Tegra platform essentially consists of an ARM-based processor and some high performance graphics. The ARM processors are highly power efficient and Nvidia graphics are good at handling HD video. As a result of this the laptops running on Tegra platform will be able to run for 5 to 10 hours playing HD video.
The company has not yet announced the price or launch date of Mobinnova elan. But sources claim that the device will be renamed Mobinnova Beam in the US. It will run on Windows CES, which is a low power operating system capable of running ARM processors.
The Mobinnova Beam can easily decode 720p video. It is expected to be available at a subsidized price in the US if you purchase it with a 3G data plan from a wireless service provider.
The defective and potentially dangerous USB power adapter was packaged with each iPhone 3G sold in US, Japan, Canada, Mexico and quite a lot of other Latin American countries. Apple has revealed the Apple Ultra compact USB Power Adapter swap over program for iPhone 3G sold in select countries. Rumor has it that, the adapters metal prongs can break- off and hang about in a power outlet, creating jeopardy of electric fright. There were even a few reports of cut off blades involving an extremely small percentage of the adapters sold. So, Apple has of their own free will resolute to swap over the ultra-compact power adapter for a novel (and prefabricated adapter) for no additional charge.
Telefonica’s O2 and Apple are all set to make an announcement that’s going to mark an impact in the coming weeks. Apple and Telefonicas 02 will be making a declaration about their pride to join together for a scintillating reason and in turn leading many to speculate that this will portent the all new 3G iphone. O2 is the mobile service operator that will be in charge to lobby the distributing of the phone over in Ireland and Britain.
