1000HE Eee PC FROM ASUS BEGINS SHIPPING

Yes we know this is not terribly exciting but those 1000HE Eee models that Asus demoed at CES have begun to ship. More importantly is the fact that they carry a few cool features for the sub $400 netbook crowd like the updated 1.6GHz N280 CPU, and a 9.5 hour battery.

But as we said before you might want to wait a bit until the tablet editions unveil themselves a few months from now which are bound to bring Windows 7 support as well as multi touch capabilities and according to Asus they will be under $300.
